  1. To all those who are stating this girl doesn’t have social anxiety need to realize anxiety effects each person differently, also each person’s reaction is also going to be different. This isn’t a once size fits all kind of disease. My social anxiety is not exactly like hers and my reactions to situations aren’t the same.
Also to those who think a person with social anxiety would never go on this show clearly don’t understand a person with this disease will reach out. This was her method of seeking help. As you can see she didn’t go from 0 to national television, the counselor came to her and worked with her until she was to a point of stretching and going outside her normal comfort zone.
Bravo to her for being brave and telling her story so others can know they can reach out and get help too.

  2. Everybody seems to have social anxiety on youtube but in work & in my day to day life I appear to feel like the only person that everybody thinks is weird.

  3. Now send her to a crowded store on her own without her “helper” there to provide a protection or distraction type feeling. Then she how she really does.

  4. My only problem with social anxiety is when people stare at me and when walking I just feel like I’m walking weird and then I start walking weird and people stare at me like wtf is wrong with her

  5. I don’t know how her anxiety didn’t immediately skyrocket to a 10 while in that store with that camera following her around everywhere.

  6. People probably think she’s cute, shy, adorable, etc. It’s definitely a lot worse when you aren’t attractive and people just think you’re a weirdo that needs to be put in an asylum. If you’re attractive and cute you can kind of play it off as the shy and adorable personality, but when you’re like me, you are just treated like trash and you’re a definite target. I can only imagine how bad it is for guys as well, it’s a “bad” thing societally for them to be shy or timid in the first place, even if they try to claim it’s their personality to keep from being “exposed” for having anxiety, they’ll still be made fun of because they’re a “pussy” “gay” “weak” the only thing I could figure that is worse than being a female with social anxiety is being a male with social anxiety.

  7. Social anxiety? Haaa… i have social anxiety and there is no shot id be able to go on a talk show the at this mental state. I would fumble my words and get very awkward. Shes clear spoken. Either shes on medication or has no social anxiety

  8. Social anxiety is not making melodramatic faces in a store.its feeling ur hands and legs shake when u know u have to see others. It’s the feeling of ur face heating up when in a social environment. It’s trying to hide the shake in ur voice but u just can’t. And it’s the self-hatred that follows because u know there is no reason for it but u can’t stop it

  9. This seems like just mild anxiety that i wish i had. I can barely think straight when i go to a store cause i think of how im going to grab a bag of chips and someone will judge me on it. I do the same routine everyday cause its in my comfort zone. Im a different person inside my house but as soon as i open that door another person takes over.
