hey what’s going on is Brian here in this video I’m going to show you a tactic you can use to overcome shyness alright check it out I have some tough advice in this video but it’s really going to help you build some confidence and overcome that shyness so when you think about meeting people don’t you get that shrewdness of breath and don’t you get all these different questions in your head stuff like whether if the person doesn’t like me what if they reject me and just you know ignore me and because of this you don’t actually speak up you don’t initiate the interaction so to speak so you never meet these people now let me ask you this isn’t it true you have yet to go forward in pursuing your dream career or go after that thing that you always want it you haven’t done anything daring you haven’t broken out of your comfort zone and you haven’t gone uncomfortable yet now this is the biggest reason why you are still being shy and you don’t have the confidence that you desire the solution to this sounds really funny you actually have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable so in other words you have to take small steps in getting uncomfortable and desensitize yourself so when you get uncomfortable you’re okay with it an exercise for you to do is you can make a small commitment to yourself for example if you live in an apartment and you live let’s say on the 10th for you want to make a commitment to yourself that every time you get into that elevator and if there’s someone in the elevator with you you make a commitment to yourself that you start conversation with them or you do something that initiates an interaction with them by making this type of commitment you start to get uncomfortable but it’s not uncomfortable enough for you to freak out and not take action okay go ahead and follow through with these commitments get comfortable with being uncomfortable once you start doing these actions you start to getting a little bit of momentum and you can overcome your shyness and start building your confidence little by little you..

Rather than the usual shyness advice I want to make sure you learn from people who have really gone through it. Like struggled with social anxiety for decade and come out on the other side level of gone through it. If this is your first visit to Social Professor make sure you check out the shy to social page and grab the free audiobook ‘how to talk to anyone’ which is going to turn your life around.
